Good Food, Good Company, and a Successful 2026 CLAEO Banquet

The 2026 Annual CLAEO Banquet was held at the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata on April 30, 2026. The social hour was great, with many conversations taking place. A delicious buffet-style meal was served.

Attendance was great, with many members of the Eastern Ontario landscape design community attending, along with many CLAEO members.

A very touching Memorial Tribute was presented by Gerry Lajeunesse for Julie Mulligan, a well-known and liked Ottawa landscape architect who had recently passed away. A video slide show presented many of her past projects. Many thanks to Tina Liu of the NCC and Isabelle Lalonde of Stantec for their work in producing the tribute.

Mathew Davis did a great job with announcements, not to mention thanking our generous sponsors and directory advertisers. He also produced and presented a landscape trivia contest from which many people gleaned information and other trivia.

A slide show played through the evening, thanking our sponsors and displaying ads from this year’s membership directory.

There was a 50/50 draw held for the benefit of the Ottawa Boys & Girls Club. The lucky winner went home with over $1,100!

The evening was deemed a success by guests who enjoyed good food and good conversations.
